Course description
This e-learning course provides guidance on performing high-resolution measurements in biology to the highest metrological order.
First, various nanoscale imagining techniques are explored and the basic principles of traceability are introduced. The course then focuses on the application of reference materials to validate measurement results at laboratory scales. This is supported by a selection of case studies to demonstrate how such principles are applied in both industrial and clinical settings.
Who is it for?
This course is aimed at people working in the biological sciences who perform imaging-based measurements at the nanoscale. It is particularly relevant to those people who develop products and technologies that must be submitted to regulatory bodies for compliance and approval, where there is a requirement to show traceability.
