An innovative approach to building measurement expertise
NPL apprenticeships deliver measurement skills for a wide range of sectors, including manufacturing. We have created a Level 3 training programme to support the Institute for Apprenticeships & Technical Education’s Metrology Technician Standard, which is the ideal route into skilled employment for technicians working in:
We are a government approved apprenticeship training provider, and we deliver apprenticeship training to levy paying employers in England via the apprenticeship service. The Level 3 Metrology Technician Standard was approved for delivery in August 2017 and is the first nationally recognised standard on metrology, the science of measurement.
This new apprenticeship standard was developed by the Metrology Trailblazer, an employer group chaired by NPL, to ensure an apprenticeship of high quality and a focus on the right knowledge, skills and behaviours of the workforce.
