New course available: Quantum Test and Evaluation Short Courses

As part of the National Physical Laboratory (NPL) Quantum Test and Evaluation Programme, NPL Training and several science teams have released a collection of free short courses. These
courses introduce several of NPL’s quantum measurement capabilities.

The courses are for those working in the quantum industry, as well as component manufacturers, end-users, students, teachers, and researchers. The Quantum Test and Evaluation Short Courses include the following topics:

• • characterisation of quantum devices using s-parameters

• • radio frequency atomic magnetometer for magnetic induction tomography

• • quantum efficiencies of LEDs

• • radio frequency reflectometry

 

These sit alongside the ‘Introduction to Time and Frequency Measurement‘ and ‘Introduction to Clock Performance‘ courses in our growing portfolio of training in the Quantum, and Time and Frequency category.
