Our Level 3 Metrology Technician apprenticeship programme provides an ideal route into skilled employment for technicians working in a range of roles such as measurement research, measurement application, calibration, inspection, quality and process support.

The Level 3 Metrology Technician apprenticeship standard helps apprentices gain the vital metrology skills and knowledge required by science, engineering, and industry. The National Physical Laboratory (NPL) has been offering a Metrology Technician apprenticeship programme since 2017, to internal and external apprentices, and we are looking forward to welcoming the 8^th cohort of apprentices in September 2025.
