This one-day workshop provides learners with an awareness of current British and European laser safety standards and their practical implications. Learners will gain an understanding of a variety of topics, including:

  • Hazards from optical sources
  • Laser classification
  • Laser protective eyewear
  • Legal requirements
  • Requirements for interlocks
  • Guidelines for laser safety officers
  • Safety calculations.
